Well said Sensible: scoring goals isn't all about the strikers anyway, they need good service and as we saw during the reign of Sturrock I, all sorts of players can contrubute significant numbers of goals if the team is playing well - Coughlan and Frio being two obvious examples. The fact of the matter is that prolific strikers with a current track record cost the earth. Firstly that's probably outside or budget and it's a huge risk if you put a lot of eggs into one basket and then there's an injury or loss of form.
