As we all know, we are about to face a reasonably tough set of Premier League fixtures. I am just curious, as to who thinks our form will see us through and we'll carry on winning every game ( ), and who thinks we'll lose every game from now until the New Year and will be facing another relegation battle... I guess opinions in the middle of these extremes are welcome too... So, after these fixtures, how many points will we be on come New Years Day? Newcastle (A) Man Utd (H) Swansea (A) Chelsea (H) Everton (A) Liverpool (A) Man City (H) [Not interested in individual game predictions, just give me the number of points we'll be on, bearing in mind current total is 25 points] The winner will receive some paracetomol through the post to help aid any New Years Day hangover Predictions jambawamba - 38 FosseFilberto - 36 nzfoxfan - 36 The Foxes 1884 - 35 Fantastic Mr Fox - 35 BuzzardFoxMick - 35 Wellernever - 34 Martin Is Back Again - 34 Jack - 34 Proud - 33 Wizard - 33 JohnTheFox - 32 AKCJ - 32 Miami - 32 Astrofox - 31
Only obviously winnable ones I can see there are Newcastle and Swansea away, and those are fixtures we both managed to lose last season. However, the only ones I think we're pretty certain to lose are against Man City and Chelsea (who I doubt will be as poor in a month's time). My prediction would be anywhere between 5 and 10 points from those fixtures, but I am famously pessimistic. We only picked up 5 from those fixtures last season (win over Man Utd obviously and points at the Merseyside clubs). I'd love us to beat at least one big club to make this season even more special.
If "our bubble hasnt burst" by then I think we will be odds on to win the league. Keyword for christmas is what we have used sinced April is FEARLESS
I was actually just wondering, how many points did we get from these games last season? Didn't we lose away to Everton? So it's only a 5-3 win against Man Utd, and a 2-2 draw at Liverpool where we actually picked up any points?
Ooh yes, I remember. For some reason, I thought we lost 2-1. Oh well... 5 points from 7 games isn't great!!
So come on then Mr Fox, Proud... Give me a number... No 'if's', 'but's' or 'maybe's'... I'll get the ball rolling with 33 points...
32, I thought somewhere between 30 and 35 and the others are taken ha. I think the points will slow down but tick along
I´d say we´ll get 10 pts from those fixtures which, even with our form, I´d still be happy with. 35 then for me.
... some pundits suggesting that 36 will be enough to survive this season - so anything above that by the turn of the year will be a real bonus ...
