theuglygame @uglygame Football stat of the day: More tax inspectors have raided West Ham this season (50) than that club has scored league goals (44). #whufc
10 points would put them in the third relegation place...if they get one next season there could potentially be one really angry club in the championship.
if points are deducted it wont be till after any court case and it could take anything up to 2/3 years to get to court (if there is a case to answer).
Does that make a difference? Probably too early to speculate, but that case was defrauding the revenue, which is what HMRC have confirmed todays arrests are about.
Has anyone considered these two clubs may have overpaid tax and HMRC are ring to ensure they get the correct refund?
Always manpower for the targets that get headlines. Not for the likes of Apple, Google, Starbucks, Amazon etc...
West Ham statement: “The Club is cooperating fully with HMRC to assist their enquiries. No further comment will be made at this time.”
I wonder which manager has been linked to both clubs? I could not possibly imagine for one minute that any manager could be involved in anything dodgy. Just imagine what it could do for their ambitions.
They don't get them to pay the taxes they should pay. Which is their job. Whilst chasing up and fining small companies.
Apparently, this relates to a potential £5m fraud, I thought it would be more, in the grand scheme of things, it's a small amount for a Premier League club.
