Newcastle play Forest in the league on the Friday of that week and we don't play until the Monday, could be a positive for us if they have half an eye on that.

 

I wanted Utd away, it'd be a home game for me. As soon as that went I knew it was either the Geordies or the Arse!

 

I think we can make the semis for the first time, in January after the Allam's have gone, and full Wembley mobilisation in February, dare to dream.

 

It'd be good, but we have to prioritise the cash cow of the PL!

If I come down will hopefully meet up with DMD. A canny bloke and we missed each other last time.

 

This is basically a 50/50, their squad is as good/better than many PL clubs, I'd pretty much include us in that bracket. They have a deep squad and will be incredibly dangerous. Hope we can sell out as this is that magical point where Cup dreams start to become tangible.

I was hoping for Toon in the Cup (mentioned them in the podcast last night) so pretty happy with that draw. When it was us, Soton, Arsenal and Toon left I was sure we'd get Arsenal or Soton away haha.

 

I can see the evening newspaper up there giving it the old 'Magpies on Humberside' crap and giving away freebies to commemorate their trip to a PL ground.

 

Always get a very good welcome off the Hull lads. Mingle in all the usual places beforehand and never any bother. I do blend in a bit as I have a half Brid/half Geordie accent so can swimg both ways at times oooer!
