Probably be in the First Division having been demoted and penalised for having gone into administration and wishing we were still in the Premier League with a responsible (from a financial perspective.) and financially astute Owner!!

We just can't find that hallowed middle ground can we? I say middle ground, I of course mean some filthy rich bastard/group/family who doesn't mind putting his/her/their hand in the pocket to fund an all out assault on trophies. End of the day we can whinge about Ashley and Shepherd, but the sheiks and russians just haven't been interested. Its the only guaranteed long term route to the top - money.

I personally think Aarons will be symptomatic of what happens, eventually, when you run the club so fcking badly. He's a kid with ambition, and he's at the most stifling, stagnant club in the PL. He won't stay no matter the money.

Interesting that Tiote is yet another first teamer from our pool of 25 (lol) not playing again this year. Genuinely, we're either being set up for relegation now or next season.

You can't play Aarons if he is not fit which has been the case all season. When he has been fit, he has been selected. Pardew was clearly very keen and bumped him ahead of most pretty quickly. Indeed early on in the season before his upturn in form/effort/growing a pair, Obertan was essentially told he was surplus because of the emergence of Aarons.

Will Carver give Aarons his chance now he is training again? Who knows but the lad needs some u21 matches/sub appearances first. I'm not sure he will sign. I suppose he might feel he owes us as we rescued him from the scrapheap after Bristol City's bizarre decision. However he'd have been picked up regardless such is his ridiculous talent. His loyalty lies with himself and his career like all players. It is difficult for these young lads to turn down the riches the big clubs can offer to sit in their 21's.

Hopefully we can keep him and get him fit. He looks unbelievably talented and seems a nice kid with a great attitude. He looks like he is quick, strong, whips great crosses in, will score goals and work his socks off. What more can you ask! Its a shame we couldn't get the likes of Ali, Mings, Hughes etc. you then start to build a base of top young talent. I see Lascelles is back in at Forest and scored too.

Essentially we need to pay the going rate and play him once fit. If we do that, then maybe we can keep him. Its a big if.

I remember the goading villa supporters being hateful to the newcastle fans when you last went down
I hope you batter them and send them on their way

The thing that bothered me was that it was all so horribly orchestrated. As a Brummie I never had anything against Villa, still don't really but when I see those banners from that day and the sheer delight they had in us getting relegated really stick's in my blooded arse like a broken beer bottle. I hope we smash the ****s tomorrow.

I hope they go down. Plenty of good players to be had when they have the inevitable fire sale.

Oh how sweet it would be to put an extra nail in the coffin. I reckon they will just scrape it by the skin of their teeth though. They have better players than their position.

Got to hope the Sherwood factor takes hold. The guy is the biggest bullshitter in the history of the game. A total fraud.

I still remember going to the cinema in Scotland a month after our relegation, I had been playing a kickaround with my brother beforehand so had my Toon top on, and some 40-year-old Brummie arse with an acute case of dermatitis started shouting "Villa, Villa, Villa, Villa"...

Think it'll be a terrible game (like the one at Villa park), and we'll probably draw again, but a win would be nice!
