problem is now mitro is judged by every ref now .... and that is so sad for the game ..it means they are bigger than the game ,

****ers ... his challenge today was just above ankle so I hope to see every team ( including ) the top four see red for this kind of challenge
anyway ... just seen the noble red laughable ,,the second yellow for coutinho , never a yellow ,,,god knows what happened in the stoke match ..and that dier from spurs should of been off in the spurs game

so inconsistent football is a game of chance , just hope he gets up in the morning wanting us to win ...****ers

Let's be fair. I remember being appointed ref in high school for some primary kids playing some low-budget form of netball. The local primary were playing our local rivals, and that local primary was comprised of chubby little serial cheaters. Did I bust the little scamps? They won the title easily... And I'd do it all again mwahahahahahahahahahahaha <laugh>

Yeah I'd maybe give it. It was borderline and looks worse slowed down. That said he does rake him a bit.

    Eh?

Did you just ask that because I know the basics of football?

What a ridiculous argument you are trying to put up here. Accidental or not, if you go stamping down on a players shin like that you could cause serious injury and the only outcome should be a red card.

How you could say that wasn't dangerous <doh>

It wasn't dangerous. If you've played football, you know you aren't hurting anyone with that. At full pace it is clumsy or leaving your foot in for a bit of a rake. To have been dangerous you would plant your foot into his shin rather than rake him.

Under the rules though if you don't contact the ball and your foot is up there you can go. Other players will get away with same thing every week.

He's hardly the only one. Rio Ferdinand, Danny Mills, Pat Nevin, Jason Roberts, Robbie Earle, and other pundits who's names I didn't get, have all said that they thought it should have been yellow. I can understand why it was given red and think it's one of those you just have to accept and move on. But the argument about it being accidental and not reckless is one that plenty of pros are making too. It is at best a decision that divides opinion.

I cant believe people that are moaning about the red because we are a filthy side on the evidence of today.

Seriously forget what your heart says and it becomes clear.

I guarantee if it was the other team you would be arguing that it was a straight red.

Thats football fans afraid or most of them.

Anyway lets hope we can get a result at west ham.

Dangerous? You are having a laugh. That wouldn't have been a foul 10-15 years ago. When football is played by a bunch of soft ****es and the authorities try to take the contact out of the game then you get decisions like that. It was a careless foul under the current laws. Warranted a yelliw and nothing more. A number of ex pros [you know, people that have actually played the game at the highest level] have come out and said the same.

At first sight i thought not much in it. After watching quite a few times I think he's gone in on him. Depends how the ref sees it but I think its probably a justified red.

It was obvious from the outset Newcastle had been told to play aggressive football and they were a shambles, the referee convinced them to forget what they had been told and play football, result, vast improvement
