    Tuesday (tomorrow)
    Telford v GATESHEAD
    EASTLEIGH v Wrexham
    HALIFAX v BARNET

    Saturday
    Altrincham v HALIFAX
    BARNET v Welling
    Dover v GATESHEAD
    GRIMSBY
    v EASTLEIGH
    MACCLESFIELD
    v Nuneaton
    Woking v FGR

Tuesday I think Gateshead, Eastleigh & Barnet will all win.

We have our game in Friday which I think we will win.

Saturday I think all our rivals will win apart from the Grimsby vs Eastleigh game. I think that will be a draw, which would be a good result.

I predict come 5pm on Saturday, the table will look like this....

    Pos.. Team....... Pl.... Pts
    1st... Barnet..... 40... 80
    ___________________
    2nd. Rovers..... 40... 77
    3rd.. Maccles... 40... 74
    4th.. Grimsby... 39... 70
    5th.. FGR.......... 40... 69
    ___________________
    6th.. Eastleigh... 39... 67
    7th.. Gateshead. 38... 63
    8th.. Halifax...... 38... 61
    9th.. Woking...... 39... 59

Competition is hotting up for 5th place between 3 sides. If we end 2nd, we would be facing FGR or Eastleigh in the play offs! We havent beat these 2 teams this season. Drew both away games and lost both home games, the only 2 league home games that we have lost!

Somehow we need to gain 4 points on Barnet within the last 6 games. Looking at the fixtures for the last 6 games for both Rovers and Barnet, I cant see us catching them again. A tough play off challenge it is then, against teams we havent been able to beat.

Reading the Halifax's managers thoughts on our game that you provided on the match thread, we took a lot of his team. He said fitness wise they really struggled in the 2nd half. So I think Barnet will turn up and be too powerful and fast for Halifax to handle.

Hope im wrong and you're right though!

    Half times....

    Telford 0 GATESHEAD 1
    EASTLEIGH
    1 Wrexham 2
    HALIFAX 0 BARNET 0

Halifax/Barnet game had a piotch inspection earlier which only just passed. After our game on Saturday, Halifax had rugby played on Sunday and had a lot of rain since as well. Pitch must be awful!

    Telford 0 Gateshead 1
    Eastleigh 2 Wrexham 2
    Halifax 1 Barnet 1

Barnet no longer have any games in hand. They are just 1 point ahead. 2 points really if you count the goal difference. So we just got to hope they slip up 1 more time than us.

They'll have a player suspended now. Well done to the Shaymen. They gave Barnet a battering and had loads of chances to beat them.

The new stats have come out from the conference.... http://www.footballconference.co.uk/premier_scene/ConferenceScene_1903.pdf

Page 6 shows the disciplinary record. Akinde 85 fouls and 8 yellows. Needs 2 more yellows to get another suspension.

Mansell has made 42 fouls so committed less than half of Akinde but Mansell has got 10 yellows and now serves a 2 game ban. Lockyer has made 17 fouls and got 7 yellows, just 1 less than Akinde but committed 68 less fouls than Akinde.

How Akinde has got away with it, I dont know. Persistant fouler.

How many penalties has he won? And how many people have been sent off as a result? I reckon at least half the goals he's scored have been penalties. And in most of those games Barnet have ended up playing against ten or even nine men. It seems to be gamesmanship on a massive scale. I've never known anything like it. The scouts probably picked this up ages ago, which is why no one's been falling over themselves to sign him.

First page of this.. http://www.footballconference.co.uk/premier_scene/ConferenceScene_1903.pdf on the right side shows Akinde has scored 10 pens. He has scored 27 goals so nearly a 3rd of his goals are pens. Barnet themselves have been awarded 16 pens all season and scored 14 of them. Thats on page 5. It shows the stats for all teams. If you look at page 5 it shows no other club has been awarded double figures on pens. Lincoln was award 9, us along with Eastleigh have been awarded 8 pens. So Barnet have had double amount of pen than us or you could look at it that they have had the same amount of pens than us and Eastleigh combined.
