I went to supporters club meeting at Market Weighton this week with Rosenior/Livermore/Huddlestone. Quite and entertaining evening, Livermore has moved to Ferriby close to where Rosenior lives but couldnt remember what the village was called, and also couldnt remember where he had moved from, which was Willerby apparently.
They missed the fact there's also a bike shop. Ferriby, not my favourite place in East Yorks. But the football team are incredible given the fact they are just a village team. Best of luck Ferriby - I hope you smash 'em.
The chip shop is crap. Opens when he feels like it and everything is cooked to order, even the chips. They use those crappy soft breadcakes from Couplands for the chip butties. I'm never going back. That said, good luck tomorrow to The Villagers.
It used to be one of the best chippy's in East Yorkshire, but the bloke who had it(who opened even less regularly than the current bloke) flogged it several years ago and the new man stuck in a pizza machine and it was never the same.
Twenty-odd years ago it did amazing chips - crinkle cut. Was never overly keen on the fish - very scaly. Plus there were plenty of scraps. I thought it was a pizzeria last time I went past. Sad times.
The next meet the players is in Beverley, can you PM me with feedback from the Market Weighton night.
Good times there including a New Year's Eve do in the 70's. Used to be a maternity hospital in the 50's - my brother was born there in 1953, so he's a country bumpkin.
Isn't it Push Pineapple? Kinell. Don't tell me after all these years I've been singing it wrong. If I sang it. Which obviously I never have. I'm too cool fo dat **** yo.
Wrexham are mid table in the league above so play at an higher standard, they are taking around 10,500 were as Ferriby are taking 3500. I think with Wrexham been no way near the top of the league Ferriby must have a decent chance and lets not forget I would imagine plenty of the players will come from the Hull area so comparing the two in size regarding were they get there players from is may be not such a huge difference.
Also Ferriby have won three of their last four whereas Wrexham only have one win over the same period, and that along with the other details above is enough to convince me that they have a chance. Tenner @ 5.4 on Betfair for me.
Come on you Villagers!!! please log in to view this image On a more whinging note, £750 fcuking million for a National Stadium and I'm sat getting fcuking drenched!!! Disgraceful!!
I'm with you Happy, obviously I've never sang it either but I believe the song is about a hula mistress from Waikiki who sold pineapples whilst playing the ukelele. Bit of a slag by all accounts.
