Usually feel a bit more pumped after Jerome speaks. I think he sounds beaten, and I think he thinks people want to leave. "Are the other players up for the fight" "meeeeeahhh, of course they are contracted to the club...."
Talk about topsy turvy! How can a team that thrashed a team in the playoff places one week get totally outplayed the following week? Now that we have finally achieved safety we will have the old farm derby to look forward to next season.
Indeed we will JWM and let's hope they're both a more passionate encounter than we witnessed at CR!!!
Classic quote from Gary Gowers piece today:- 65 goals conceded, hey? If we really bust a defensive gut over the last four games, we might even catch Rotherham, who are currently on 94! http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...d-not-just-from-chris-martins-flailing-elbow/
I'm guessing SW has seen something that both AN (and his lookalike clone AI) have failed to see!! . On yesterday's showing, it only confirmed start we've all known for years - we NEED a minimum of 2 new CBs for starters. Will he and his HC advocate promoting youth, or will some of our assets have to be sold, so that we can buy players who will add some BADLY NEEDED quality?? Hopefully, we won't have to wait too long after the QPR game to get an idea of how things will pan out.
Well, at least after several completely underwhelming recent transfer windows, at least the new structure and head coach - as and when we appoint one, should make for a busy and interesting summer ahead. And Bassong, Bennett, Whittaker, Turner, Jarvis etc can all book an extended summer holiday - possibly even on a one-way ticket, as hopefully they won't be coming back any time soon
A pretty damning comment from Paddy this morning - "Fulham was the starkest example yet too many in green and yellow appear past their sell by date." Something I've been saying for several weeks now. Just seen this - Chris Martin of @FulhamFC has his claim for wrongful dismissal rejected: http://the-fa.com/QAlt7q #brilliantstuff
Strewth, what a waste of time! If you show intent by raising an arm you risk getting sent off these days, if you're seen to actually use an arm then adios - and deservedly so. Ask Gary Mabbutt
From today's EDP - AI warns his underperforming players - “Are they playing for their futures at the club? Absolutely. If I was a player that would sharpen my focus,” he said. “I can’t see why it wouldn’t. Clearly it isn’t a case there is nothing to play for. Whether you under contract, out of contract or with an option you are playing for your future. “If you out of contract and don’t impress you won’t get a new one, likewise an option won’t be renewed. If you are under contract replacements can be looked for. Everyone should be completely motivated by that, on top of the normal professionalism you should be showing anyway." "Stuart is in the building now and he has been able to formulate his own opinions about them from close range.” Strong words from AI - but I think they're pretty hollow from witnessing his lack of achievement so far. Well - I wonder if Ruddy's option will be taken up???? I imagine SW is running out of paper creating his list of who needs to leave having witnessed the demolition of Reading and the capitulation against Fulham!!! I know several of us moan about the lack of game / bench time some of the youngsters are getting, but I wonder of SW has said he wants AI to continue to persevere with the current crowd to be able to analyse them fully - before preparing their P45s
Morning Guys, just to let you know that there will be a match day thread this afternoon however I've been so busy that it won't be posted until approximately 2:00PM
