He was for a short while but it's done, he needs to move and we need a new striker. It's a shame we'll get next to nothing for him as a fit Studge would get us a big fee.

We got one good season outta this guy

The rest has been pure jokes, a cavalcade of injuries and 'injuries' the former making you wonder if this guy has any business being a pro-athlete in the first instance with such a weak-ass body, and the latter becoming a mockery of footballing politics, arrogance/ego and attitude all of which has sort of blurred into a nice brew of suspicion, smokescreens and deception

So it's the right thing to sell him, the fans don't trust him, the squad can't use him. Hopefully we can get above £10 million which would be a pittance considering his value 2-3 years ago but there you go. He's back at around the same valuation as when we got him from Chelsea because he's become the same player, a marginal, isolated, unhappy, injured, perplexing figure, maybe he was always that player and the good bit we had was the exception rather than the rule

We may have to stick a few million £ on top of that deal!

this year has to be the year he moves? 25, prime of his career, been brilliant in front of goal last few years. Someone should be coming in and spending big on him.

We should ask for all the money back for time he's spent injured and spent on treatments.

We really have been like an extended extended stay in a private health and spa facility for him with occasional recreational forays into football, mostly to help him 'get some air'

Can't we find a Doctor to declare him unfit for football and claim on the insurance or something. He's basically worthless.

I don't know whether to feel sorry for the guy or annoyed with him.
If he's a wimp then that's frustrating and I'd expect him to man up a bit. On the other hand, if he is genuinely injury-prone then I think it's a shame because he's obviously got a lot of talent.
Not knowing the full story I don't want to pass judgement.
We definitely need another new striker though, because I'm getting really frustrated with Divi, who seems a mood player and that's not good enough to have to rely on at our level.

The goals to games record is pretty good. It's just the lack of games

Yeah its not even 50% of games in a year.

There was some point where maybe he was doing ok and he had one good season for us but since then hes been awful and every attempt to fix him has failed.

He compounded his problem by not cooperating. When some players have little injuries they play through it, it's up to the medicals staff
to say it is not safe for them to play. But not Sturridge.
