Can't give away my source for this one and I know most won't believe me but I assure you its 100% true - Diomande scored twice today
Nothing's gonna happen with the transfer window 'til they release Huudlestone. He got stuck in it trying to climb out last week.
Certainly the best City have played this preseason. Particularly in the first half Forest couldn't get near us, passed the ball quickly and with pace and good movement. Second half contained them for the most part comfortably, disrupted the rhythm a bit when a few of the U21 were brought on for the last 20 minutes. Diomante looked sharp, and is certainly a poacher type striker. Meyler and Clucas looked good in centre midfield, brought good energy. Davies had a good game, apart from his mistake that gifted them a consolation goal. Diame gave the ball away too often, but as always had his flashes of brilliance. When Tymon came on for Bowen, and played behind Robertson, they both combined quite well. As said no sign of Odemwingie, I guess maybe he has got the elbow. HDM says he is injured. P.S. At least Forest got our correct name on the tickets.
Did Dio play up front john? Said last week it wasnt fair to him or Peter to play them wide. Whats the point.
Clucas and Meyler in centre-mid, might be enough for a pre-season friendly against a mid-table Champs team but that's worrying. Good news Diomande scoring and playing well
Meyler is Meyler he does a great job of doing the dirty work. I have been impressed with Clucas he bring energy to the midfield and his use of the ball has certainly improved. It's interesting, since Brucey has gone, the warm up has changed, with more pass and move sessions.
Ive just been in a toilet that has sensors in the urinal with an LCD screen and an f1 racing game. You have to piss side to side to steer. Thought I'd share.
The pass and move thing is telling really, an obvious failing from last season when we were slow and cumbersome both in and out of possession a lot of the time. Clucas has always been excellent technically with a lot of energy, maybe it's a masterstroke putting him in the middle of the park
Really impressed with Bowen, keeps it simple and full of endeavour. Certainly wouldn't be upset with him featuring with all these injuries.
Great to see Snodgrass without that duct tape on his leg... he looked like he would break down any second with it last season. Diame does look a class apart at times.. impudent even... all in all we looked ok though they seemed to find acres of room in the second half .. thanks for posting John EA...
I thought last season with Clucas that it would interesting to see him under a different coach. Some are quick to write him off but he's young and if he gets people around him who can develop his play he could yet be very useful. Young players should sometimes be given a chance if the coach knows how to use them. The first goal was nice.
