.... in slagging off Byram this season. The stats tell us that he's been our most cretive midfielder, despite being 'off the boil' as I and many other fans have described him. Just shos you that Rosler might have a wee bit more information than we do when he picks the team .... http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/09/2...hat-highlights-one-of-leeds-uniteds-biggest/? The Sam Byram stat that highlights one of Leeds United's biggest problems The Leeds icon has been criticised this season. Yet who else is stepping up to the plate in the final third? Leeds United beat MK Dons 2-1 on Saturday afternoon and their Championship campaign looks far better with the Yorkshire side having returned to the top half of the table - only nine points off first. But many fans were unhappy with the level of United's performance in Milton Keynes, while boss Uwe Rosler admitted they should have done better despite the victory. Some have commented that Leeds were overrun by MK Dons and there have been times this term when they have simply been outplayed. What stands out is a lack of creativity and goals in the final third. Leeds have been scoring but hardly in abundance - and one particular stat highlights their problems in terms of creating chances. 2015/16......... Chances Created Minutes Played Sam Byram .............16.......................... 594 Stuart Dallas ...........11 ..........................664 Chris Wood .............11 ..........................720 Lewis Cook ...............9 ..........................449 Charlie Taylor ..........7 ...........................720 Alex Mowatt .............6 ...........................439 Indeed, as Opta stats show, Sam Byram has created 16 chances so far this season and few have even come near him. And yet Byram has been criticised the most by supporters for his recent form. So, if an off-form Byram has made five more key passes than anyone else in the Whites squad, where else will their chances come from? Leeds are just off the back of a win and their start to the campaign has been far from disastrous. But, to prevent teams overrunning them as many feel MK Dons did, the key is to go on the front foot, attack and create opportunities of their own. More is needed from elsewhere, while Byram's quality shines through in that his numbers are still higher than anyone else's despite a dip in performances.
You said he was poor. You were right ergo my conclusion is the only logical conclusion. Anyway time to turn in, consultant rounds 8-9 at the lgi. Then will get to know the full sp. Cheers guys.
He creates two chances a game, not great but better than the rest and Mowatt, just 6 chances yet he is our set piece taker.
Alex Mowatt has been our worst player this season so far. Hope he picks it up soon. Byram has been okay but certainly not great.
