Calling teams City, that will never catch on, game on SS2 now, new stadium with a full stand all safe standing with no pull down seats, the longest bar with pitch viewing, drinking on the terrace, smoke bombs going off, the club encouraging singing sections.

Yanks eh, they will kill our beautiful game, oh hang on

The atmosphere in some of the mls games are like european games

They make a mockery of the premier league

    And thats a proper stand!

But wait there must be hundreds of fatalities at every game?

Yes, but how many people will die because of the smoke and the stampede to escaping the inferno that just one flare can cause?

My cousin lives in New York and goes to the odd Red Bulls game. Their tickets for one area state it is for people wanting to get behind the teams so don't complain about people standing or making a noise as you have been told in advance. A shame we can't have that here.

I think I suggested that idea years ago on here (thought might have been somewhere else) that it should be entirely possible to have an 'active' stand dedicated to supporters who want to stand, sing, etc.

When I went to the old Orlando stadium a few years ago, there was a guy with his back to the pitch leading the singing of the fans. A very good atmosphere & Kaka wasn't playing that day. I was hoping to see him as I thought he'd be like Okocha when he came to us.

Same at the Philadelphia Union. The River End of the ground is totally for the Sons of Ben (Franklin) who sing/ chant continually and stand the whole game. They are "conducted" by a supporter and of course the obligatory drums. On another note, each seat in the stadium has a cup holder for your beer. Beer booths are separate from the food areas and each booth serves a different brand anywhere from the cats piss Budweiser to Heiniken, Boddingtons and local craft beers. Food stalls are separate and each sells its own particular variety. By the way you can call up and order and they deliver to your seat. When the Union score, the whole ground stands and sings the Doop song. Even the plastics and the flask and blanket brigade. If you are a season ticket holder and can't make it you can sell your seat easily on the web site. Likewise, casual visitors can obtain tickets for a game the same way, so the ground is always full (18,500) or there about.

The user experience at games here is **** aint it?

Have to drink in the concourse, horrificly long queues just to get a ****ty gassy lager and then stand in said concourse while drinking
Same for any game in the uk if theres a half sized crowd
    Bring back beer in stands

You can't bring back beer in the stands at it has never been allowed to drink alcohol in a football ground.

Every stand should contain people who want to sing and get behind the team.

So it was your fault that the east standers got moved into the north. DMD will be after you.

If it does it will be a small scale, token thing. Two or three thousand even in the larger stadiums, nothing like the ones in Germany.
Mind you we don't seem to get more than a couple of hundred who seem to want to stand up.

There is still a terrible problem of yobs and scum who ruin for the rest of us.

It's not that those in power don't like bars and fun (the tax is an incentive itself), its that a sad minority can't behave.

Every time I visit Twickenham I am reminded that no one is against drinking and fun, but everyone sensible is against organised violence and hate of the sort found in some dark corners of football.

In your opinion. Some want to sit and watch the game without having to actively get involved. Everyone should be catered for.
