At least a poll by the OSC is more relevant than the one by HCST. I'm expecting maybe 2 to vote for the name change in that one, at the most. It's like asking registered Tories if they'd like to see a Tory government.
Hardly anyone will vote for it in any poll, but you'll say they're all not representative enough for you.
It does leave an opportunity for the Allams to drag this on though, as they could point out that most fans have chosen not to join the group, and about half have left from last year. His appeal was based on a perceived bias in the process, no need to give him another opportunity. The OSC one is harder to make that claim against after the way they presented their results last time and the liklihood their membership will have increased of late. Although even then, he could point out the spike in membership once a vote was announced as an opportunity for double voting and bias. I realise the proof of support is needed by the Allams, My hope is that the FA proute a specific question for them to poll, and suggest the Club not carrying it out is a message in itself. It needs nailing firmly shut.
Well obviously, as I am not a member of either organisation, how could they represent me? I'll be REALLY interested if your statement turns out to be true, and hardly anyone votes in the HCST poll. Cheers for the heads up on that.
All passholders should be allowed to vote too. Past and present. The OSC are too comfortable with the arrangement they have to want to upset the apple cart. They depend on the club to supply them with players and guests for their 'special Q@A nights' Who was it who once said that no-one is bigger then the club? The club being Hull City AFC.
Good point about past pass holders. I'd want them to look at including everyone on the customer database, with some screening for away fans. There needs to be no room for doubt that could give an opportunity to drag this on further.
I think you're right in what you're doing. The flip side is that the Allams could well argue the validity of the vote due to the opportunity for double counting. It's possible the FA would dismiss his claims, but being able to make them, gives the Allams a straw to cling to. A wider poll could close that opportunity. If the FA told the Allams that the lack of a poll by them demonstrates a lack of confidence in the outcome, and to not carry one out is equivalent to a majority fans vote against the name change, the ball would be in the Allams court.
As the FA said they'd like a ballot of season ticket holders, that's what I'd expect to happen, if there's to be a ballot at all. Obviously it would be better if it was extended beyond at, but it's not going to happen without the FA insisting on it and they're unlikely to.
Good, existing pass holders should be the minimum. Just asking minority groups, especially when one has a very clear bias, would leave it open to be dragged along. It needs to be demonstrably representative of fans. Neither of the groups in question can show they do that. Any chance of a recent link where the FA are saying it will be a pass holder vote? The recent statement I saw only referred to the two groups.
That's what I thought. The recent statement didn't mention consulting with most fans. In my view, the FA have got that bit wrong.
I completely agree that there should be a wider ballot by the way Season ticket holder should be an absolute minimum, ideally it should also include people who've bought a reasonable amount of home or away tickets in the last couple of seasons But until that happens the only way you an influence anything is through the two fans groups that the FA have contacted Let's hope it does happen though, or if it doesn't the FA use that as one of the reasons for kicking this nonsense out once and for all
Having consulted the urban dictionary I am now aware that Happy is being accused of being a client side mod on mine craft.
There are no hard and fast rules on what a name change submission should include, the FA have made it clear what was done wrong last time and that included not consulting fans, it's up to the Allam's if they ignore that or not. I think they probably will ignore it, as they know they'd lose a free vote and the FA will no doubt take that on board.
