Please please please buy him. I don't like his face. I don't like his name. I don't like his over inflated reputation, the talk of 'class' and 'skill'. I don't like his transfer fee. I don't like his complete disregard for consequence.
I am a misogynist yet I cannot condone the way he behaves. I have had my scrapes yet I cannot ignore his assault on Fonte The Great.

I'm starting to think he/ she more then dislikes him. Which is kind of crazy. He did nothing to any of us, so I don't get the over the top hate.

Agreed. He's not a bad person. He's just unstable and can't control himself when emotions get the better of him.

 

I don't agree that he did nothing to us...all we required was that he turned up, trained and played...simple for a footballer, but he failed. Then to compound it, he couldn't even keep his head down and allow us to sell him. Don't really hate him though, not whilst people who drop bags of dog poo are out there.

 

Mmm I can't help but think that whether he has 'anger' or 'mental health' issues, that these exclude his actions from making him a bad person. I don't think they do.

It is a delicate subject and I appreciate that, however I would say he's a bad person. Good footballer. Some stability issues, that unfortunately lead him to do bad things. Bad person.

Do we really have to qualify everything we say?

It's just how people talk. Sometimes people just want to blow off steam, or are intentionally over-the-top for humor or just to underscore their point in a harmless manner. This is a football messageboard, so I think everything should be construed as relative to other footballers and other sport stuff.

I think it's understood that "hating" Osvaldo doesn't mean that you wish him to suffer horribly from some incurable disease, or that if you had a gun and one bullet in a room with Osvaldo and Hitler, you'd shoot Osvaldo. I also accept that when someone "loves" Jose Fonte, they probably really only "like" Jose Fonte compared to their spouses and children. It does not have to be qualified.

Well, asparagus technically does the same thing to everyone's pee. It's only 1 in 3 that can smell it. Not that you probably go around sniffing other people's urine, but if you did and they ate asparagus, you'd smell it and they might not.
