I inherited this home organ from my parents. It has not been used for about 15 years. It is a Yamaha Electone MC600. It is in very good condition but has 2 faults. The lights do not come on and the sound is distorted. Sometimes it is ok but then you get a whooshing noise. The keyboards all function with the accompanying drums and auto chords. I reckon any organ repair place could get it back to 100% without much difficulty. The service manual is available on line, I'll show you where and forward the url. My guess is the power supply has a component which has aged and needs replacing. It has a stool and instruction manual. It was the top of the range model when bought, about 1985 and really is a lovely piece of kit. If any of you out there want it you can have it for free. You will need a van and two people to pick it up. I live in Sunderland and will give you a phone number if you contact me with your contact details. I have half a dozen other keyboards and don't need this one.
I would love it - just wish I had space for it in my house!! Too many animals (fish and reptiles) otherwise I'd have taken it off your hands in a second
No good to me but the Musicians mart NE on Facebook is a good place to get genuine local buyers (or in your case, takers) https://www.facebook.com/groups/musiciansmartne/
np, its one of the few places where you can still buy and sell without the usual timewasters. Looks like you found a home for the Yamaha!
Well i think its a great gesture. Reminds me of a thread i always wanted on here. Kind of a SAFC forum trader. Exchange and mart kind of thing. One mans junk is anothers want. Looking to sell. Looking to buy. Swap or giveaway. What do you lot reckon?
Commachio1 that is a great idea. I can play the girl from ipamena right trough, on one of those portable organs.
That's good to know, Monty . . . . about as good to know as my being able to play 'Peas pudding hot' on a recorder
Could've done with that trying to give the ex away! £10,000!!! Yours for £10grand! If I give you £10,000 you can take her
