I'd have Shola back, he'd probably sign for 3k a week. He could come on for 10 minutes and do a job. If my life depended on it I'd rather have Shola come on than Riviere. At least Shola knows where the goal is and can take a penalty.
Well your right about one thing. He can take a penalty. But I'm pretty sure he only knows where the goal is when the ball is on the penalty spot!
I am still in shock & awe that Palace & West Brom had a tiny little bidding war over Ameobi. He entered talks with both clubs & Palace went in with better terms in the end, it's ****ing Shola Ameobi. He was ****e, when I was a kid, and he's even worse now. It's unbelievable the luck this absolute clown has had in his career. Christ sake, in over 480 appearances in all competitions he scored 84 goals.
Hey he had European pedigree. In the last 20 years: Ameobi in Europe = 15 goals (including away to Barca and Bayer Leverkusen) Swansea in Europe = 17 goals (mostly due to a plundering of the mighty Petrolul Ploiești) He was pretty ****e on every conceivable level but somehow is only behind Shearer as our European goalscorer.
Why pick on Swansea, it seems a bit obscure. But you are correct, that he is indeed only behind Shearer for European Goals, which of course makes him a Legend on Tyneside....
Because for a minute i got Wor Welsh Lad confused with a Swans fan. Was just corresponding with one on another thread just before this post. Silly me.
Having just resigned from my post as Honorary Chairman of the SAFC, your good friend BRS sounds like the perfect replacement. Can you tell him the Annual Membership is only £200 this year, payable to my favourite charity, Me. Once I have my greedy little mitts on his money, I'll introduce him to the rest of the club.
