All that some one here are saying is that IF you want to stop the Tories gaining a huge majority (which some might argue is in itself anti-democratic) then there are some parties better placed than others to defeat Tory candidates. I'd love to vote for the candidate I simply thought could best represent the people of the constituency in which I live. I voted for the incumbent Labour MP in each election post 1997 even though I thought she was basically lobby fodder for Blair. The alternative - a Tory government - was marginally less appealing. After her we had an excellent Tory MP. Didn't stop me voting Labour at the election, We now have an excellent Labour MP, who will be voted out, I am sure, by many who think he is a good man but don't want a Labour Government. I so wish your local view could prevail, but until we have a fairer voting system I just can't see it. The waste of talent in the current system is self-evident, in my view.
Exactly Lambo. Until we have Proportional Representation we have no alternative but tactical voting, which is basically voting against a party instead of voting for the party you want to.
Brillant Swansea! The problem is how to descredit the Tories? I feel as any Tory bashing just swotted away with ease at the moment. I suggested in the Portsmouth News that the present Conservatives have let down millions of Conservatives voters by going for Brexit. I got plenty of thumbs down and no support, so SE Hampshire is definitely redneck territory.
IMP is standing for the WUM party folks!! He is certainly getting the reaction that he requires. This is what WUMs do, and they enjoy it.
As a Saints fan, politics is my chance to support the winning side. Maybe more Saints fans should join me and experience winning instead of ALWAYS being the runner up.
My father in law, who is an accountant, told me once that there are only three types of accountant: those that can count and those that can't.
Whereas my father in law, a mathematician, told me that there are 10 types of mathematician: those who understand binary and those who don't. Vin

I sit in the Itchen and a very, very old dear friend of mine is called Royston Smith and he also sits in the Itchen who I see from time to time at the games. He is in his early 90s and had a season ticket since he was 25, so I think it would be unfair to him
This just might be a different Royston Smith. Who on Earth gets them self named Royston, for pete's sake.?
Lol I met him many moons ago when I was a Wine & Beer Wholesaler. He was the 'Coffee Man' as we knew him as he sold us filter and coffee beans for the trade. Lovely man, been retired now longer than I can remember
