    Assume it will just be cover for Patilimon, and will be third choice once he's back - but he counts as home-grown, so won't be a problem with the foreign quota... Guess it will mean Gilmartin will be shunted out of the squad

    He possibly might be - but just don't see us dropping Gomes...

    Also it's coming out as a done deal that Ighalo has signed for Chinese side Chongchun Yatai for £20m and £5m in add ons - but nothing official yet

    Just another lazy pundit really - "Cleverly not the right fit for this team", yet he's transformed the midfield. Given that he updated this at 06.30 this morning, you'd think he would have realised there was an improvement...

    Yes I would file that rumour under "BS"

    The good thing about Krul was that he would count as 'home-grown', so we could keep Pantilimon in the squad but also have an able deputy until he is fit again. We have Ighalo, and Guedioura leaving, plus Pereryra out of the squad, freeing up 3 spaces. Niang and Zarate have taken 2 of those, so we have one space left. I don't think we would use 3 for keepers so Imagine it will be Dje Djedje who will get that extra spot. Arlauskis will be left out again, twiddling his thumbs for the next 6 months...

    I don't know why he doesn't go down the track of 'contract cancelled by mutual consent'. Surely as a non-contract player he'd be able to look for another club?
