Surely the airlines have got their priorities wrong allowing holiday makers ahead of football signings. Matter of life and death Doctors will be earning enough in two days to keep them in beer for a year.
Think it depends on how long it takes him to get back into the team fully match fit. If he slips straight in - and he hopefully will - then I can accept it was a business decision. If he's not in for a few games or has to only be a sub due to getting up to match fitness then it's a bit iffy in my eyes. A saving of what is fairly small change in modern football (interesting to see how much that saving is) at what cost. I look at the Boro home game and without Catts or Kirschoff you needed someone like Yann. Ah well, there's always many complications and wheels within wheels. Overall, got to be chuffed when he comes in he's a perfect fit for you - honestly think you'l be fine this season, just not by much again!
My understanding is that te doesn't have a work permit for Russia at the minute so nothing stopping him training with us for the next few months until his contract runs out, then stepping straight into the team in Jan. He is French, so thanks to the wonders of EU laws, he can come and live in the UK whenever he likes. Edit: Just a thought, if his current club cancels his contract next week (breach of contract as he hasnt turned up for training, no need to pay his wages), once they figure out they are paying him for no reason and he becomes a free agent, cant we sign him at any time ?
I assume if he's in England to sign for us then we wouldn't blank him and would have been in touch with him several hours ago.
