Wanderers will kick off their 2016/17 pre-season schedule with a friendly against French side Le Havre on Tuesday 12th July (k.o. 7.30pm local time).
The match will be played in Sarzeau (Parc des Sports, rue du Beg lan, 56370 Sarzeau) as part of the squad's preparations for the new campaign, following a similar trip to Coutances last year for a friendly against US Avranches.

Ticket details will follow for those fans interested in watching this fixture.

The pre-season schedule is now complete with no further matches likely to be added:

Tuesday 12th July: Le Havre (A)
    Tuesday 19th July: Brentford (H)
    Friday 22nd July: QPR (H)
Tuesday 26th July: Aldershot Town (A)
Saturday 30th July: Maidenhead United (A)

That's a long way for Le Havre to travel for a friendly

Will be off to see this on Tuesday. Expect to get thrashed. Le Havre only missed out on promotion to the top tier by one goal. They won their last game of the season 5-0. If it had been 6-0 they would be in the top tier this season. However, one of their players has signed for Bournemouth and another has signed for Reading. Will be a good test for Wycombe (can't say the Blues as Le Havre have the same colours as Wycombe).

If the le Harve game was a week later then I would have gone as I'm in the area for a week. I hear Dobbo and Baz are driving everyone down in mini buses, proper jet set stuff.

Yep, which means they must be driving not too far from where I live (ie they will either be going to Cherbourg and go via Coutances to the A84, or Caen and down the A84). You do know it's not at Le Havre?

Oh no. That was unfortunate timing; only 1hr 20mins away. Are you driving or flying?

Driving, we have a week in masserac, then I week just south of La Rochelle then another week back in southern Brittany. Are you based in that part of France?

I live about 15 minutes north of Coutances (where the friendly was played last year). Pity I didn't know as, if you are crossing on Brittany Ferries, I could have got you a 10% discount. Which ferry route will you be taking, Caen, Cherbourg or St Malo?

Ah shame that would have been really useful, thanks for the offer. We are going Plymouth to Roscoff and having a week exploring southern Brittany.

Well it was entertaining. 1-1. War nearly broke out in the first half. Following a bad foul there was some trouble which I didn't see clearly; then a Le Havre player punched one of our players in the face and with that Bayo charged in to the rescue and sent the bloke flying. Just about everyone got involved and it took some while before the match could be resumed. I think it resulted in 3 straight reds, 2 Le Havre and Bayo. Bayo was not happy. The tackling was fierce (verging on lethal) and the amount of swearing was comical (even Amanda was verbally attacking the linesman in fluent French after he gave a goal kick for a clear corner. If this was a friendly I can't imagine what a cup game will be like <laugh>
