I've been checking out info on Sabadell (yawn) and its nice to know they have a neo-Nazi supporters group
Notice that both trialist's not offered contracts, Barrett and Jordan L / B let go according to the WDP. We were promised signings last season including a G/K and they never materialised is this going to happen again this season. DC says he wants another 2 players I also notice that other clubs I our division are getting loan players from premier league clubs but I don't see our name connected to any players just out of contract players who so apart from Moore and Hartley so far have not been signed. Just one loan player in the form of Luke James, With Preston now gone and no senior player to cover Brown we would appear to be a little short on quantity and quality in those two positions. I also think that we need some creative presence to push Lines into consistency. If Taylor, Gaffney and James can score 50-60 goals between them we should be alright but if they can't / don't then we could struggle
Luke James got a good write up... http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bristol-rovers-1-5-swansea-11655251
Alfie Kilgour played well, certainly looked more competent than McCrystal ,Byron Moore put in a good shift one of their supporters thought he was our man of the match and Luke James stood out for work rate and his goal Some one mentioned that we had signed a G / K a Jon Mclauchlan or some such name, used to be with Bradford City
Good news if it is him https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_McLaughlin_(footballer) A keeper is high on the list.
Looked at that link Gastro looks impressive but the stat info was a little confusing said he hadn't scored a goal in 200 plus appearances, what did they expect from a G/K 30 goals a season
I went to the Swansea game..... Basically it was a lesson in football as you would expect from a Premiership side. I was impressed with Luke James goal, and like others have said his work rate, he will be a handful in league 1. Also Byron Moore is looking a very good adition to the squad, very strong and pacy. But like mentioned already.... Goal keeper is a massive priority at the moment, both our keepers are in my opinion not up to the job. Although paddy did pull of a good save to his credit. After watching both villa and Swansea games, I'm liking the way we look for the start of the season. We look sharp and hungry to win games, we do need to sort this goal keeper situation though. UTG
