Dissapointed that we couldn't get a side like Swansea like the sags did but you never know if we'll get a big team to open our stadium.

Cheltenham away should be a nice fixture and will probably see it.

    Pompey - now that's big!!!
I guess I understand not going for a big club as there is still a possibility it won't be ready, but I will not be travelling up for a friendly against a League 2 club

Why not? It's only a friendly. Can't get excited by them if I'm honest.

Pompey fans define the word fanatical. Wait and see what it's like if 3,000-4,000 Pompey fans turn up and sing non-stop for 90 minutes. They may be league 2 at the moment but they sure as hell ain't a small club...

Yes I meant in terms of current stature
Many moons ago one of my best mates was a Pompey fan, and I've been to Fratton Park a good 20-odd times, so agree about their support.
Hopefully they can get themselves back up the pyramid

I think 2 good bets so far this coming season would be Pompey promoted, Sheff utd promoted, Derby promoted Arsenal top 4 Mancity top 4 and string in a couple more to do a 8 or more accumulator!

    Uninspiring doesn't even come close.

I wasn't expecting Real Madrid to visit but this is a poor and fairly pointless list of friendlies even for us - I especially don't understand the logic of the Portsmouth home game. Away perhaps against lower level opposition that play 2 leagues below you, but at home, really ?
