Franke and Zimmermann played CD for the entire game. Rusty at RB when he came on. Sense prevails at last. Has Z-man played every minute of pre-season?
I'm pretty sure he has! We're a little thin on defenders with Pinto and Klose injured, so I guess it isn't too surprising.
Another article on MFW (you'd think the season was fast approaching!!) - http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...n-engenders-an-unhealthy-degree-of-pessimism/ The results of friendlies are meaningless. Period. Nevertheless, they do possess importance. Instead of providing fans with a metre by which they can judge the upcoming season, they instead serve a more internal purpose: facilitating the implementation of new tactics and enabling players to augment their fitness levels and play together. They are there to allow the likes of Angus Gunn, Christoph Zimmerman and Harrison Reed to understand and execute Farke’s desired way of playing, to give players such as James Husband and Mario Vrancic the chance to meet more long-term Carrow Road faces and to foster unity amongst the camp.
U23's currently 1-0 down in their latest pre-season game. Lineup: Hallett; Aarons, Efete, Odusina, Catton; Phillips; Jaiyesimi, Cantwell; Higgs, Fonkeu, Middleton. Subs: Oxborough (GK), Andreu Hlynsson, Kamal, Sambu, Aransibia, Wright.
I am thinking about going to the Brighton game next week and I would hope that the team put out by Farke in his debut home game in front of the paying fans would try to win. We all know there are no points at stake ,but surely as a pro sportsman you would want to win even in a friendly .
Wonder what the sobbers and detractors are going to come up with now! They won't praise the team or the coaches that's for sure!
I'll be in the Queen of Iceni before the game if anyone wants to meet for a beer (or 2!!!) next Saturday.
