This is exactly the reason why the BBC should cover every other club in a fair and balanced way - they are not funded commercially so they have no excuse. They pride themselves as balanced, but all too often use their power to promote popularity rather than discussion.

I think you are quite right to be cheesed off. Whilst all other media operate on a policy mainly dictated by popularity, the BBC are publically funded and therefore should have a better balance and wider scope. It's actually one of the reasons why the licence fee has to be kept in order to maintain quality.
I've had personal experience of living long term in another English speaking country without a publically funded independent broadcaster, and believe me, the quality and balance was atrocious.

And talking about coverage; having no home internet at present, I'm stuck with the radio. I've made a mistake in tuning into talkSport. Clive Allen and a presenter have been going through the prospects of all the clubs. Chelsea, Arsenal, the Mancs, Liverpool, Spurs, Villa, WHU have been talked about in some detail. The rest in passing. We got two mentions while the other clubs were being talked about.
Come on Radio Solent. We need a radio version of Late Kick Off.

That sounds good at the first initial read but the BBC also has to get viewers watching their outlets. For instance if they make TV shows that only get 400k viewers it gets cancelled. They may be funded by the public licence but they are judged by the same rules governing the commercial channels.

Roja missed the tour in America because he didn't have a visa. ManU have fined him for failing to keep his paperwork up to date....hands up anyone on here who would trust a footballer to have a valid passport with a visa. They can't even be trusted to have it with them. Would suggest that United should reconsider how much trust they put in people who think with their feet.

I agree Fran... we take the boys' mattresses with them and tell them when they need to eat, wash, sleep and take a poo; no excuses for a club the size of United to not have that managed. Maybe they need to stop employing someone to run to do the players' clothes shopping and employee an administrator!

Must admit I would have thought a club the size of ManU would take all that kind of trouble away from a footballer. And no, my hand stays down.
I'd probably trust JWP to keep his in order because he's not the usual footballer twerp. :)

JWP will have a little folder with all his paperwork neatly filed away. He will have a mobile folder for boarding passes and passport when on his travels and he will have an alarm set on his phone calendar for when renewal dates come up, along with a hard copy back-up.
