I just bought a copy of the echo. Been about 10 years since I looked at one. Trash.

What a foolish thing to have done. I haven't seen a copy in 20 years and it was trash then.

I love curling up with a cup of tea at home and a paper or sitting in a pub with one. Internet is great for research, but, for relaxation, give me a paper anytime.

Actually i'm with you on that. Problem with the internet is that you get distracted, one thing leads to another. In a paper you are restricted by the content if you get what i mean.

Is it cause you can't actually touch it or see it? It's actually black magic practised by smart ass teenagers. The internet that is, not newspapers.

Radio 5Live reported this evening that Moyes was sent to the stands because of his reaction to Saints being awarded a penalty<doh><doh><doh><doh><doh>. I ask you.

Instead of buying a newspaper just visit your local Sainsbury cafe*, buy a coffee and work your way through the entire printed output. You can then rejoice at Saints getting bugger all coverage in many papers while wondering if some reporters were on the same planet never mind at the same game.

It also allows you to enjoy the comedy lead stories in the Mail, Sun and Express without the embarrassing experience of actually having to buy it.

    * Some Wetherspoons offer a similar service with even cheaper coffee but the unsettling sight of people on their 3rd pint at 1030am.

Not a bad suggestion GreenSaint. I choose to help the kids deliver the weekend papers and the thirty seconds to Scan the headlines before posting through a letterbox, is usually enough to get the gist of their gusto and regurgitated stories from the week.

A whole page in the Sunday Times today devoted to Chelsea. Not a word about us anywhere.

I do not have a lot of choice. The newspapers here are only allowed to report certain news and nothing that might in some way criticise the respective government of the country you happen to be in and certainly not any of the ruling families. For me, the newspapers I subscribe to on my tablet is the only means of knowing in detail what is happening in the world. What I also like about the news on the tablet is that I can read other national newspapers to get an international perspective.
