Tottenham boy Jenas that's why, knows his stuff. Been listening to Mickey Quinn, proper bias but reckons Pool have got too many show boaters.
I've not judged it at all on connections really. As I say, I should dislike Jenas as he's from Notts, supports and played for Forest but I find him a good pundit. Hoddle obviously also has Spurs connections but he's a complete tool. Just who he is
I know you haven't John boy. I agree with you, apart from the Hoddle bit. I like listening to him, he talks a good game.
Hate Savage. **** pundit, **** commentator, **** hair, looks like Roland Rat. Michael Owen says the right stuff but it's lost in that annoying voice. Carragher knows his stuff but exaggerates too much and also has serious voice issues. I could go on.
He practically creams himself over the Spurs contingent when commentating on England so I don't blame you. If he wasn't constantly slating Vardy I'd maybe see him differently but he comes across very Spurs biased
He does seem to have aged well compared to some like poor Alan Shearer. I think the more recent ex players are better pundits anyway as they are more in touch. The likes are Hansen and Lawro are well out of it
Football is football, you and I can move along and evolve as fans from watching the game in the 80's or whatever decade it may be, to the current dynamics of the game without any problems, we could chat about it then and we can chat about it now. I'm sure they can too what with these people being ex pros on top of being fans and pundits. Don't think its about their age, era, etc. Look at Robbie Savage, complete imbecile with a lack of knowledge and he stopped playing footy more recently.
I think I'm in a minority of one, although Stan came close, and will say that I think Owen is a good pundit/summariser. Jenas and Murphy are good and I like Ian Wright for his enthusiasm not so much the insight. Dixon was ok when ITV had any football.
"Strawberries! Lovely strawberries! Look at my wad! Loads of money!" You are a classy act, Tobes. Not sure what a scabby London market trader is doing supporting Everton, though. Was it an embarrassing uncle who used to support them, mate?
I made that post to your other account mate I can understand why you get confused tbf. Yeah you've nailed it HIAG, my old Uncle was a Blue and I inherited his fruit and veg stall in Peckham after he got banged up for armed robbery.
@NowsufferinginSpain @Bodinki @PleaseNotPoll @luvgonzo I have only, today, stumbled across this thread - I hadn't noticed it before now - and it is a glowing example of the problem we have on this board. Saints starts a perfectly decent thread that is clearly footy related and of decent interest, and immediately it is hijacked by the Bell End Gang, consisting of Tobes and Skiddy, doing their upmost best to destroy it. Seriously, boys, can you **** off? If you don't have anything decent or apposite to say, do everyone else a massive favour and stay away. I'm not asking you to do this for me or for Saints, but for everyone else, including those who you might think have some sympathy for your pathetically juvenile vendetta. Thanks.
OK mate x Oh and btw, having 'just found this thread' your first contribution was to make a post that is completely OT and a pop at me, you've now followed that with another OT load of ****e. You festering turd.
Why, cause it's about the game? Seems to be holding your interest, given it's so ****. Nearly 100 posts. Some of them on topic.
