R.I.P the Technics 1210. Sorry this may be old news now and most of you may not give a toss anyway but I'v just found out Technics have discontinued the 1210 turntable. As a youth I had a pair of these and used to spend hours in my bedroom pissing the neighbors with my awful mixing of cheesy dance music tracks. Blimey, that looks space-age compared to my original deck the famous Garrard SP25 Mk IV (circa 1970), with a Teleton amplifier and KEF speakers this was the first record I played on it...
One from one of our own.... Love the lyrics at 1:45......"she knows her Rodneys from her Stanleys"... He looks fit enough to get into our current starting line-up in the video too!

That's the one, it was the staple of many a budget system in those days, I think my whole set-up cost around £70 which was when I was earning £49-a-month which was decent money for a 16-year-old...
