    Thanks Sooper<ok>

I was in the middle of having a music session when I got the call so decided to give a little dedication.

Love that Queen song, still puts a little lump in my throat when I listen to it.

I can map my life out to music, evokes more memories than looking at old photos<ok>

    Powerful stuff is music<cheers>

It's the soundtrack of our lives, good times, bad times, people we have known can all be remembered by that soundtrack and it's imprinted in us and can't be lost...

One of my earliest musical memories from 1962, a schoolmate of mine lived down the road from me and his parents had the latest of everything, including a radiogramme which could take 8 singles. We would put 8 records on and make sure this was the last as the one on top of the pile used to slide. So with Frank yodelling and the record slipping we'd be falling around laughing at the weird noises coming out of the speakers...

This was one of my first musical memories from Steve Hackett's 1978 solo album "Please do not touch". My Dad used to play this LP lots and I just loved it, I would have been 3 years old at the time<ok>

Steve Walsh of Kansas on vocals here!

Jason Pierce certainly knows how to make beautiful music, all his back catalogue both as Spiritualized and as Spaceman 3 are amazing......

Read a really good article recently about the making of "Ladies & Gentleman We're Floating In Space" album where he'd just broken up from long-term girlfriend and guitarist in band, and found out she had secretly married Richard Ashcroft and although he protests and says the album is not about her, the underlying theme of loss is undeniable.....great album - if you've not heard it, give it a go.

Another album he made, Songs in A&E, focuses on death - he wrote it , then nearly died from pneumonia, thus "predicting" his death - it's very haunting, but a great album too...
