QPR keen on signing Alex Pritchard, hope Tottenham connections will ease deal please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Tom Nightingale @tdnightingale 11 minutes ago QPR currently have former Spurs trio Les Ferdinand, Chris Ramsey, and Andy Sinton at the club. please log in to view this image Queens Park Rangers have reportedly joined the race for unwanted Tottenham Hotspur winger Alex Pritchard, with West London Sport suggesting that they hope to utilise their Spurs connections to seal a deal. Pritchard looks certain to leave White Hart Lane permanently this summer after Mauricio Pochettino confirmed reports on Monday that the 23-year-old is not part of his plans at the club. The attacking midfielder has just two appearances for the Spurs first team to his name and has not featured since last August when he made a solitary Premier League substitute appearance before being sent on an ill-fated loan to West Bromwich Albion. please log in to view this image However, Pritchard has starred during other temporary spells away from the club, most notably in the Championship for Brentford in 2014-15 when he scored 12 goals in 45 appearances, form which saw him win the Bees Player's Player of the Year award and be named in midfield in the Championship Team of the Year. West London Sport[/a] claim that QPR are one of the seriously interested parties. please log in to view this image Whilst Spurs are ideally looking to cash in with a permanent deal, the report claims that QPR are keen on a loan deal with a view to a permanent move in the future. Ex-Tottenham stars Les Ferdinand and Andy Sinton, and former long-serving Spurs coach Chris Ramsey are currently all at Loftus Road in various roles, and they are hoping that their connections with White Hart Lane can see the club jump to the front of the queue. Ferdinand is director of football, Sinton works as club ambassador, and former Rs manager Ramsey is now the club's technical director.
He's a very good player who I'd be surprised if we could lure but as Ted so eloquently points out, it's not a position we lack in.
He's a winger isn't he? With Phillips and Hoilett gone surely this is an area we need to strengthen? And frankly our midfield was ****e last season so I'm more than happy for new faces in that area.
I must meet some of you lot at local pub this season, is it the crown & sceptre & another you go to but can't think of it.
That one looked like a stitch-up. Would love to see the trail of the transfer money. However, Hall, Walker and Taarabt spring to mind as positive. Little Tom Carroll, not so much.
Ryan Nelson was a free transfer from Spurs. One of the best signings, albeit short, we've done in recent years.

Teams, it seems, can never be too good to go down. But can QPR be considered in the same bracket? They've certainly had a good go at assembling a squad good enough for the top three, not the bottom three. On paper, at least... Since Tony Fernandes' arrival at the start of the 2011-12 season, a staggering 25 players have bought to Loftus Road, among them Champions League winners and international stars. Few, though, can reflect on their contribution with any great pride. The first of a number of mistakes in the transfer market. 2/10 Luke Young (Undisclosed - £45,000-per-week) - Added experience to QPR’s defence last season, but struggled with a painful hip injury this term and hasn’t played. 4/10 Armand Traore (£1.2m - £40,000-per-week) - Shown glimpses of why he was so highly-rated by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, but too inconsistent. 5/10 please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Don't care, cares too much: Joey Barton and Armand Traore have both been heavily criticised by fans Shaun Wright-Phillips (£2m - £60,000-per-week) - One of the biggest disappointments of all of Fernandes’ signings. Not lived up to his reputation. 3/10 Anton Ferdinand (£2.5m - £45,000-per-week) - Some decent displays early in his QPR career but will be remembered for his race row with John Terry. 5/10 Jason Puncheon (loan) - A summer transfer deadline day signing. Made just two substitute appearances before returning to Southampton. 1/10 average = 3.3/10 MARK HUGHES SIGNINGS Nedum Onuoha - (£3m - £55,000-per-week) - One of Mark Hughes's first signings but struggled to find the form that put him on the brink of an England call. 4/10 Djibril Cisse - (£4m - £60,000-per-week) - Scored six in eight upon joining in January 2012, but also picked up two red cards in his first five games for the club. Partial success. 6/10 Bobby Zamora - (£6m - £70,000-per-week) - Played a vital role in keeping QPR up last season but struggled with a hip injury this season. 6/10 Samba Diakite - (£3.5m - £45,000-per-week) - Was key in last season’s survival push but hardly featured this season. 2/10 Federico Macheda (loan) - Arrived from Manchester United with a promising reputation but did not make a single league start for QPR. 2/10 please log in to view this image Already gone: Djibril Cisse had a whirlwind time at QPR, but has moved on to pastures new please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Top table: The likes of Park Ji-sung and Taye Taiwo came to QPR with experience at the very highest level Taye Taiwo (loan) - Recognised as one of the best left backs in European football but failed to live up to his billing before returning to AC MIlan. 4/10 Andy Johnson - (Free - £40,000-per-week) - Made just two starts since arriving from Fulham due to a season-ending knee injury. 1/10 Ryan Nelsen - (Free - £35,000-per-week) - Arguably the club’s player of the season despite only playing half of the campaign before moving to take charge of Toronto FC. 7/10 Stephane Mbia - (£5m - 50,000-per-week) - Added strength to QPR’s midfield and back four but not been consistent enough this season. 4/10 Robert Green - (Free - £50,000-per-week) - Under pressure from the outset after conceding five on his debut and being relegated to No 2 following the signing of Julio Cesar. Struggled. 3/10 Park Ji-sung - (£2m - £70,000-per-week) - Heralded as the man to take QPR to the next level. But the former Manchester United midfielder has struggled in a struggling team. 3/10 Junior Hoilett - (£4m - £50,000-per-week) - Viewed as one of the coups of the summer. But the pacy winger has flitted in and out of QPR’s team. 3/10 Esteban Granero - (£3.5m - £65,000-per-week) - The former Real Madrid midfielder arrived with a good reputation and big things were expected but he has not delivered. 3/10 please log in to view this image Real talent: Esteban Granero joined from Madrid and his signing was hailed as a real turning point for the club Julio Cesar - (Free - £75,000-per-week) - One of only a handful of Hughes’s captures that has rightfully earned his keep. Will surely move to a top club this summer. 8/10 Chris Samba (£12m - £100,000-per-week) - Broke all the club’s financial records but his presence has not been enough to save QPR. 5/10 please log in to view this image Try as he might: Loic Remy is one of very few who could be considered a success at Loftus Road please log in to view this image Costly mistake: Chris Samba (left) has been an expensive disappointment at QPR Jermaine Jenas (Undisclosed - £40,000-per-week) - QPR look better with him in the side. But not had enough time to bed in. 5/10 Andros Townsend (Loan) - Been one of the only bright sparks for Redknapp during the closing weeks of the season. I would be happy, I am a Pritchard and my older brother is Alex. He would bang a few in for us having kept an eye on him due to the namesake!
