Sad indeed, my wife expressed her sadness at his passing; I never realised she liked him. She's a good judge ... RIP

Moira Appleby, wife of Geoff Appleby, who played bass with The Rats, and later with Ian and Mick in the Hunter Ronson Band, has just passed away.
Thats a real shame OLM, I knew Ronno well but didn't know Geoff, its just one more link to the old days gone.
Bruce Forsyth was a part of the life of anyone growing up in the 50s, 60s and 70s. It was famously said when George Best passed away that only left one person who had bedded two reigning Miss Worlds, Brucie. You sometimes get people being disparaging about people who have been on TV or in the public eye a long time. I remember somebody at work being less than complimentary about Bruce Forsyth. A lad from Sheffield said he had spent quite a while as a chef at Twickenham, it was in the tower in tbe corner before they redeveloped it. He met many celebrities, some good, some not so. But he said Forsyth was one who always treated everyone with respect. On one occasion there was a problem with the kitchen. He had seen him struggling and Brucie told Jimmy Tarbuck to get his jacket off they were going to give him a hand. Not only that, at the end of the day he left one of the most generous tips he ever had. RIP
Gutted. Kempton nicked my joke. I hope there's no horrible stories to come out about Bruce now he's gone. Very much a ladies man though. RIP didn't he do well
