Apologies for not reading the previous 17 pages before posting. I didn't realise this was mandatory. I might read them next week when I've got time as I'm flying from Hull Airport, driving over the Hull suspension Bridge to get there. Some of you on here will have to accept that there are casual posters such as myself, who haven't got the time to read every post or indeed more than a handful. So comments like "not again" I can only assume somewhere in the previous 300 posts someone has correctly pointed out what I did. I just think its daft for "Hull" to hijack a festival that was sounds miles better called Burton Constable Hall and I thought this might be a good place to air my views and take a light hearted stab at highlighting how silly it is to do so. I deeply apologise if I have caused any offence or any raised blood pressure or anxiety.
You could catch a flight from Hull airport to Derby airport to go to Download festival in Leicester if you wished.
If you think Hull hijacked the Radio 1 Big Weekend, you might want to reconsider posting on threads like this at all in the future.
I get to Hull, York, Leeds, etc. quite a bit and I think it is just a very few who think that way. Unfortunately one of the saddest ****s is allowed to thrive on this board.
Had a great time at Big Weekend - good organisation compared to many other large scale events I've been to (only downside was the bad queuing system for the shuttle bus at the end of the day, and the low number of bars on site). Highlights for me were; London Grammar, Lana Del Rey and Royal Blood - as well as getting to see Biffy Clyro and The Amazons again.
Big Weekend was in association with Hull2017 - there are Hull2017 events on in Bridlington... Burton Constable isn't that far away.
Biffy Clyro were by favourites, as well as Christine and the Queens. I also like London Grammar for a different type of music.
I was watching Two Door Cinema Club on iPlayer last night. Anyone else notice his shirt? This isn't the best image but when he took his jacket off it was all stuff to do with Hull. I noticed the Bob Carvers logo first but it had pics of Hull Fair and Barmby on it as well. please log in to view this image
