It's not Gayle by chance, is it? I've heard we may have a new number 9. Although I'm not supposed to say anything just yet...
Not impressed with this signing at all. I've seen this player quite a few times now, and in my experience he just keeps hitting the bar.
Ah, but that's only at the end of the night when I'm passing out!!!! If I'm p[l]aying we will get at least 3 p[o]ints in if not more.
I've previously stated I wouldn't be at all surprised if Shelvey left. If we can find a DCM who can pass it and create a bit I think there is room for a more attacking player - perhaps someone like Cairney. Shelvey has a lovely passing range and a lot of quality but he blows hot and cold and there are other issues with him. If you have Shelvey in the centre then you still need a DCM, despite him also playing pretty deep. I'd still prefer him to stay and Diame to go but we'd easily get over £10m for Shelvey so it may be case of raising the funds we need. The only player I'd be truly disappointed to see go is Ritchie in all honesty.
Either before the 31st Aug, or January - or not at all - who know what the biggest surprise will be....
Well it's PL goals we need, is it not. One season wonder, possibly, though? The Welsh are notorious for having a classy Spanish forward one season, losing him the next.
Nah been class his whole career. Class at Bilbao, class at Juve, injured at Seville - then great for Swansea. 24 Spanish caps in their golden era. 7 goals. Mainly from sub.
Be happy with the signing, for sure. Someone top notch for Mitro to try and learn from too. Good swap for Murph! What's your take on Carr, mate?
He looked top drawer a few years ago, then got an bad injury and I'm not sure he's got back to where he was. It's a roll of the dice and I wouldn't pay too much (up to £10m) but he has 2 years to run on his current contract so Southampton will probably want decent money (more than £10m).
