I noticed that Will Hoskins was released by Oxford yesterday. Still only 29. Brighton do seem to be a black hole for striking talent

I would have him back. Although he has suffered with bad injuries since leaving us. Is he the same player?? Worth checking out though. Doubt he will drop to non league though if we stay down.

He has been doing things though. Last weeks training was left to the coaching staff while DC has been setting up his retain/release lists and preparing for next season setting up targets that he wants. He is doing this for both potential outcomes of Sunday <ok>

He's been dogged by some pretty bad injuries. I think one lesson from the past is to make sure the players we sign aren't carrying injuries. We have had far too many of those over the years. It's quite disruptive because they only play a few games at a time and then have long spells out injured.

Either scenario doesn't leave much time. The playoff winners in particular always need to get their skates on.

DC said he has been doing a lot of the 'off the field matters' last week, so im guessing he is ready for whatever happens on Sunday.

    Good point Loathsneyd.

What goes on at Brighton? We've had Hoskins, Mackail Smith, O'Grady, Baldock... since Glenn Murray only Ulloa hasn't forgotten how to score while at the AMEX.

If he was 5 years younger, then yes.

Jack Mackreth is the one I would go for. Had a good game against us. He's only 23 and played his first game for Grimsby against us at the Mem.

Nsiala was 100% Grimsby's best player on Sunday - he would be a good signing if Trotman goes.

They have not been released, but Rovers ought to enquire about taking Wes Burns or Bobby Reid on loan from City?

In all fairness here, when Akinde joined us I was delighted. I thought he would do well with us as we didnt have a big type up front and he had impressed where he went on loan to Wycombe. I thought he was just what we needed. But how wrong I was!
