Be interesting to see how Akinde does back in the League with better defences and referees. To be fair the bits I've seen look like a different player, but I don't think he'll get the same number of penalty decisions and he may be sent off more than he was last season because he's got a pretty direct style of play. If he starts banging them in in League Two I doubt whether Barnet will hang onto him for long anyway.

Akinde did well in league 2 with Wycombe but was poor with us in league 1 and poor with Wycombe when in league 1 in his 2nd spell with them. Looks like league 2 and conference is his level.

Yes - both are very good lads
Reid went on loan to Plymouth and did well there
I still have high hopes for Burns - his career stalled a bit this season but is still only 20

Mind you as CJS says after Akinde ...............

Bobby Reid looks decent. Armani's an unusual middle name!

He'll get snapped up by another League One club. Would be a great signing if we could get someone like that, but I doubt whether one of League One's top scorers would drop to League Two.

My thoughts exactly. I remember his goal at Southampton in injury time to give us a 2-3 win. How things has changed since then for him and both clubs - Rovers and the Saints.

Alefe Santos was loaned by Derby to Nott County for a few games last season. Would he be worth a look?

Um Williams was Swindons top scorer this season. I believe in the region of 22 goals. Think he would add plenty but not sure of re hiring to many ex gas. Lines and Williams but that's at a push.

Foderingham is a tidy keeper, don't know if Will Puddy is being offered a new contract but if he isn't then he could be worth taking a look at

Why was Williams let go originally

Williams never quite made the grade while he was with us. He started banging them in for Yeovil...

I will never rate Williams - I take the fact he was Swindon's top scorer with a pinch of salt.

He's never been a consistent player and only did it sporadically for us. Yes that winner at Southampton was an amazing moment but with him those are very few and far between.

Gastro, how could you mention Santos?

And btw, there are lots of players around who aren't ex-Rovers players.

Santos was a bit small, but may be a stronger player now.

Well we won't get Alex Rodman from Gateshead unfortunately. He has signed for Newport.
