Ironic since the OP and them games have passed with us just one point off the drop, which clearly suggests we are in big trouble.

If we can win on Tuesday we should be ok, if we lose though we are in big trouble.

Northampton rising up the table and we haven't won since JE has left. Coincidence? Not so sure.

JE's last 8 games as Gills boss:
    W3 D1 L4. Pts: 10 out of 24. Clean sheets: 2

Pennock's 8 games as Gills boss:
    W0 D6 L2. Pts: 6 out of 24. Clean sheets: 0

Make of that what you will but when Pennock joined, his target was to get us into the play-offs. Certainly gone completely the opposite way with us only 2 points above the relegation zone. Also poses the question should he have got the job in the first place?

As a side point JE has W3 D1 L2 as since taking over the Cobblers. Better than us still.

I was with brb for the Port Vale home game - He will verify that I couldn't give away a spare ticket in my possession.
Re my season ticket - if it was possible to have got a refund ( or even part refund )- many home games ago this season - I would have asked. It's getting to the stage where I don't want to come and watch more hoofball - and seriously considering 'wasting' my season tickets !

Going to be close but 11 points from 11 games will get us to 50 which could see us safe.

Never say 50pts is safe :emoticon-0125-mmm: Remember we went down on 50 in 2009-10. I'll be happier aiming for 52pts!

To achieve this we WILL need at least 3-4 wins from our last 11, plus the odd draw or 3 as well. Can't see it I'm afraid.:emoticon-0138-think

All we need is to match the points total of the teams below us, the problem is we have now played against all the weaker teams and failed to win, we now have a harder task as a result.

Could be interesting next season if Dover come up...Much better opposition than Wall and Charlton

We've got 4 games coming up against teams in and around promotion/play offs. Now we can either get thumped in all of those or carry on our tradition of doing well against the teams at the top and poorly against the teams at the bottom. Fingers crossed for wins. I can't bear to think of paying out to watch League 2 football against next season.

It's not too bad mate lol....we will probably get to play Coventry again <laugh>

Along with possible close trips to Cambridge, Barnet, Crawley maybe even Colchester, not sure about Orient at the mo though.

itstimupnorth will be happy to get sunny Blackpool again <whistle>

and let's not forget the outside chance of Dover :)

Cheer up PegLeg, it might never happen.

That said, our last 3 relegation years saw us win 9 games from our first 35 games, this year we have won 9 from 35, is that spooky or what.
