All I said was I quite liked the video clip - I'm not preaching any 'ism' btw and agree with your comments

Sorry mate, wasn't trying to say you were preaching at all. Didn't mean to offend by that.

Just seeing Fry, presumably preaching his ism made me say it.

There's a minor difference to how you've interpreted it mate and how I do.

You're essentially right though, it's another religion in a way, in the same way that a minority can spoil it for everybody and the general perception will be built on the actions of that minority.

Almost all world religions most certainly originated as a means of controlling the masses. Throughout history the earthly existence of most people was very tough to say the least, to the point were they would be willing to give up their lives to challenge the authority of the privileged few ..The privileged few realised this and created the concept of a better afterlife to those that abide by their rules...This pattern is prevalent in almost all religions..

I always found myself agreeing with the Greek philosopher Epicurus regarding religion and life...
Worth a few minutes of Google time for anyone in my opinion..

Couldn't give a f*ck about religion. I have no problem with anybody having their beliefs, faith etc but f*cking despise the c*nts who try to preach it to others.
Responsible for a lot of wars and all claim to be peaceful. F*cking utter b*llocks.

I was in a church in Tuscany last year Billy when a real old lass who looked as though she didnt have two pennies to rub together went in her purse and put her last coppers in the box and i was thinking they are sat there in thier palaces with servants feeding them instead of selling all the **** they have hidden away in vaults and giving it to these poor old buggers.Twats.

I went to a lads funeral at St Joseph's church in Stanley a few years ago & it was ****ing packed.
There must've been well over a grand in the collection basket.
I bet the Father was drinking malt whisky that night.

MP's & councilors are there to represent there constituents.
Union leaders are there to represent their members.
Who made them the official spokespeople of every person who resides in Newcastle - a city of 240,000 people?
