Peter Dimmock. Shaped sport on the BBC in the beginning of TV. Contributed as a presenter, producer and executive. Grandstand and Match of the Day were brought in during his watch and he was a regular presenter of the former. To be fair I was astonished when I heard he had died, as I thought he died years ago. He came across as rather posh, but they all did in those days.
He wasn't posh, just didn't speak as though he was a moron with glottal stops and estuary English. Give me his measured tones over today's lot who get in a state of hysteria over the most mundane things. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/sports-personality/34889321
Whoops!! Sorry for that. I used to wonder what it must be like to be old and forgetful. At least I think I did!

RIP to the writer of one of the greatest protest songs of all time. Here are two different but equally good versions.

Thats Jimmy Ruffin and Andy Johns who both died last year and Fast Eddie who didnt die. Should we be contacting Stan's next of kin??
When Stan starts posting that people that are still alive have passed away, that is when we should start to worry.
