I hope that we will pay our due respects and have little doubt that we will. It would be great if I could get a stream showing the pre-match events, but I have faith that Jon Marks will be ace if I cannot. Fans are being asked to be seated by 2.45 pm. I will be here with a large glass or two to help me through. My wife thinks I have a heavy cold coming on as I have to keep resorting to nose blowing, so the contents of the glass will be explained as medicinal.
Wonder what the great man would think of all these football refusing to play etc - little wonder he and a few others got fed up with the modern game.
Will be some day tomorrow. Am going to listen to the full 90 mins from 5live yesterday on the drive down. Will be great to pay my respects and be able to say 'thank you'. I know there's many on the board who are unable to be there, we'll say a 'thank you for you too as we remember GT.
Reading through this many people seem understandably very sad. Maybe I have been Mexicanised a bit, obviously, people grieve here, however, if someone has had a "decent innings" their life should be remembered with happiness and in reality I guess GT´s life will be. These moments in the graphic below made me smile: http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/38601781 R.I.P D.E.P
i cant stop the water coming out of my eyes ever now and then . Please give my thank you tomoow i will do my bit in march
Will do, Brian - you'll be there standing there, clapping, cheering, crying, in the form of a balding, middle-aged man. I'll pass on your best today, I promise. But he'll still be there in March, remember.
So sorry chose last week not to come today due to my bad back... Please pass on my love to day. and thank you GT So much for all that you gave us:
Plans changed. I will now be in my usual seat today, with mixed feelings, looking forward to showing my respect but also dreading it. Hoping for a win but the result does not seem so important now.
A lovely summary of why he meant so much to so many. http://www.espnfc.com/club/watford/...n-unmistakable-and-valuable-legacy-at-watford
Those of you at the Vic today, I'll be with you in spirit if not in body. I'll be following on all the media available in darkest Hampshire but adding claps, cheers, and sadness from here. This thread has confirmed what we knew already...some lovely people honouring a lovely man today.
Excellent tribute for Graham on Sky Sports just now. He was respected as a coach, but especially as a man, by everybody he met.
Nice little tribute at the end of MOTD. Didn't seem to show much of the applause unless it was at the start..
More from the press boys on Sky. http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/10729882/sunday-supplement-remember-taylor
