He has been fantastic this Season. To be honest I thought the hype was somewhat misplaced but he's proving to be a top player.
That could be a really good game or a really **** one with anything in between. Both teams have been very Jeckle and Hyde this season, who knows which teams will turn up
Yep probably the best draw in terms of entertainment but tough either way if we were playing Chelsea and Spurs. Chelsea are favourites in the FA cup.
He's proved to be one of the best buys this season and one of Chelsea's key title winning players. Even though he would have been a very good addition to our squad, I doubt he would have been as effective for us. He has the players and manager that bring the best out of him.
Dunno about that, What team couldn't do with a guy with that kind of engine, who hustles and wins balls in the middle of the park?
But we have a few players already like that but it hasn't made a difference. We've now got Xhaka but hasn't been very effective. It all comes down to how the manager plays the player and in what kind of strategy. Conte and Wenger have very different philosophies. I'd love to have Kante and I'm sure he would improve us but he wouldn't make a significant difference in the way we challenge for the title or CL. We still would have got a 5-1 wholloping by Bayern. Our problems are systemic and changes need to be made from top to bottom.
Jeez, come on. Xhaka is nothing like Kante. He doesn't have the stamina or energy to do what Kante does. Xhaka is a poor man's Xabi Alonso... all about the passing, technique and dictation of play. He's just not done it very well so far. Maybe he will in future, maybe not, we'll see. What he won't do is chase down players all over the pitch for 90 minutes and be friggin' awesome like Kante.
A better comparison would be Coqs but he seems to be off form this season. But Kante is one of the the best midfielders for his postion at the moment and we don't have anyone near his quality. But I doubt his qualities would be used by us as our strategy is different. Wenger doesn't value such players.
We don't really have any strategy. It's pure Football Manager 'pick 11 players and hope they play well together and win some games' management.
I agree. That's why we've been found out time again. Wenger expects his players to deliver and then take a step back. Not the best way and he's struggled to get success out of it.
Leicester through to the CL quarter finals. Another damning indictment of Wenger's lack of progress in the past decade (as if more proof was needed)
Not really, Leicester have done wonderfully well to get to the QF, that's not an indictment on Wenger. Other reasons are though, the same reasons that we choke against the big teams.
