They're now 6-points clear and don't look like slowing despite a supposedly tough run. Only team I can see getting dragged in now is Bournemouth.
That was a win I wasn't expecting. I had them down for 5 more points. Swansea 9 or 10 & us 7. Leaving Palace going down on 36. Hopefully they'll not let me down.
Against a terribly out of form Arsenal side? Made a few bob on that one, was the most predictable result of the weekend apart from City doing us.
so youre telling me that swans can overtake us? <smirk> we will beat watford at home.......... that gives us a 5 point cushion. hmm the only sticking point could be spurs
A win against Stoke would make it incredibly tough for Swansea. They'd be wanting to beat Watford and Stoke to stand a chance. If they don't, their following two are against Everton and United and we could be safe by the time we face Sunderland.
Very unlikely. This relegation scrap has got final day heartache written all over it. We just don't know for who yet.
If it goes down to the last day with us playing Spurs I fear for us, Swansea at home to West Brom is a more winnerable game than ours.
If Zaha Benteke Townsend and Cabaye played for us, we'd anticipate staying up - Palace will be fine.... unfortunately!!!
I think it's unlikely Bournemouth will get dragged in. Their form has been pretty good since the beginning of March - home wins against Swansea & West Ham and away draws at Man Utd, Southampton & Liverpool. They've got home games against Middlesbrough, Burnley & Stoke to come and still have to go to Sunderland. They should pick up enough points from those games to be safe.
I don't, Spurs will have locked up a top 3 spot by then, and you just have to look at last season for how they'll be invested.
Well I know who I would prefer to play on the last day if relegation depending on it and it would be Spurs. WBA will have nothing to play for, so both teams could be on the beach so to speak.
Spurs likely won't have anything to play for either. Someone else mentioned if they beat Chelsea in the semi final they'll have their minds on the FA Cup Final.
Don't forget it is in Spurs and Levi's interest to keep us in the Premier League, we do like spending lots of money on their surplus players.
If you think Spurs will let us win if we need to because of this, then I think you need to think again. I for one would not like the scenario whereby we need to beat Spurs on the last day with Swansea playing WBA at home.
