Was i just pished or is this lad the biggest waste of money since Johnson bought Haribos with 2 sweets in the pack. Kirchoff done more inhis little tine tban Cockwell done All match. Hes probs ingureed again nkw anyways x
Waste of money but got better in the second half today. He may need a run of games to get back to the pre Man C form he displayed for Everton. Were not in a position to afford him that luxury.
Totally right Tees. Biggest waste of money and talent. Pished as well looks like. Enjoy the win mate.
Did a job, if he had been 3m and cheap wages I would see him as decent back up but the price he was he still has a lot to do.
Probably my biggest disappointment over the last few years. I remember being so pleased when we signed him. What a let down he's been. He got a good block in today but don't him standing out other than that.
Thought he grew today as game went on. From what I recall his block today was vital at 1-1 but agree totally that he has not yet paid back the money we paid for him.
For winning a game despite have Rodunwell on the pitch for over 45 mins, we deserve an extra point. Get shot.
I thought he grew into the game today finishing the game well. We all know he's a failed signing but we're so thin we're going to have to utilise him. Never know, if he finishes the season well Sam may be able shift him in the summer. I joke of course. We'll be stuck with him until his contract runs when he leave for free and suddenly become incredible.
When he arrived he said playing regularly for sunderland would his platform to play for England again. Has he lost interest in that, or is he a good player who has been dragged down. As has been said on other threads, we seem to have a history of players who do well until they play for us, or find something as soon as they move on.
Feel sympathy with Rodwell just like Bridcutt came with massive expectations when it was clear not up to speed - did not hit ground running and not match fit or up to speed at premier level - game time needed. Imo think a season long loan in the Championship for Rodwell needed
In quality yes - but both were not premiership ready - Rodwell proven at our level about 4 yrs ago - needs game time and fans backing - failed on last 2 counts and deservedly so - obviously not up to speed - but who authorised £9 mil deserves all the blame imo
Interesting view but I think a massive amount to pay for a 2nd or 3rd choice player - a badly advised ES imo
