I think he's correct ... At the end of last season people, mainly over confident Huns, said that Celtic would need massive changes / a complete overhaul. It's all over this site ... I said at the time that the squad needed some additional players but there was a core squad of good players that needed a good man manger . Delia was probably a good coach but at a club like Celtic you need a motivational manager capable of dealing with egos. And so, Rodgers comes in and adds a couple of signings and turns around a few players we expected to be shown the door ... Look at the transformation in Brown... running through brick walls for Rodgers Rogic ... a players who now plays , when fit, for full games ! Armstrong , second to brown as a must starter in midfield . Forrest ... improved overall , good final ball and goals. The progress of tierney ... started by Delia but brought on further by Rodgers . Boyata ... nuff said All that and he only spent about 5m in the summer when folk said it needed about 10 to 15m. Delia defo laid a foundation but the job was too big for him. Rodgers has worked wonders and hopefully will keep the squad progressing .
The team are playing really well with a squad made up mostly of Delias players. Brendan is obviously a better manager but the whole moneyball thing that all the previous managers worked under seems to scrapped. Also the arseholes who wouldnt try for Ronny have unsurprisingly been booted or not featured this season. Nobody moans about playing one striker...even no striker under Brendan yet the same formation was applied under Ronn and was called sacrilegious. Bring him home.
