Probably not the August fixture list we would have chosen, but you have to play them sometime.

Dont know really. Both Yeovil and Orient got relegated from League 1 and they both seem to be in a bit of a mess now and pretty much need to start again. Maybe the best time to play them before their new players settle in if you know what I mean. Both these games are away too so gets them out the way.

I think we will be up for both home games Northampton and Barnet. The momentum will carry us through the 1st game and if O'Toole is still there then that will get our fans up for it too. And what is there to say about Barnet. DC will be for that game too as really we should have won the league.

Luton away though, will be a tough game, Tuesday night as well. Will be tricky.

    6 Tueday night games.

Both Hartlepool games are on a Tuesday night! Just who plans this? <doh>
Both Stevenage games are on a Tuesday night too.
Luton away and Notts County home fall on a Tuesday night!

    2 Monday games too.
Home v Orient (over xmas period) and Away to Carlisle on a Bank Holiday. DC dont like playing Saturday and Monday over that Bank Holiday weekend, so I bet he will be trying to get the Saturday game (Cambridge home) changed to the Friday night to give us an extra day because playing Saturday then Travelling up to Carlisle for the Monday 3pm kick off is pretty stupid.

Probably a good time to play Northampton and Yeovil because they've had big clear outs. Orient are expected to do well but may also be in for a shock during the first couple of months.

Wycombe and Mansfield in consecutive fixtures is interesting...

Let's face it, after last season's fixture list it's brilliant!

The fixtures list hasn't been kind to me the 10 Saturdays I have off threw the season (which also include 2 of my weeks) are all away games except 2 <wah> so I'm look at around 5 matches. I'm hoping for **** loads of postponements over the winter.

Don't threat I think I got it wrong <laugh> I've now worked out 5 home games 2 away and 2 Saturdays with no fixture yet so that's for FA Cup. So forget what I said about the FA Cup home in the 1st and 2nd round would be lovely . My 10th Saturday off is after the season finishes.

Apparently Carlisle have to make a 779 round trip to Plymouth on a Tuesday night!

flybe go from Glasgow to X-Zedder, would probably mean a hotel for the night as well but that would be the case I would expect if going by road.
Hope those Cumbrians have a big travel budget !

I thought I read someplace that it was a 15.00 K.O on Good Friday so as to allow a little more recouperation time before the trek up to Cumbria.
