Hope there isn't another, but it's on for the next 6 weeks so why not have a thread. Opening ceremony on now and England v Fiji follows.

Southern Hemisphere teams have to be favourites, but hoping England do well.

England second in the odds to new Zealand. I think the odds are a bit skewed to home advantage.

Oh and what state are the pitches in the football grounds going to end up like?

We are in an unusually hard group in that there isn't one truly easy game. We have to be on it from the get go and gain some momentum.
You can't look past NZ but there must be at least 4 others including us that can genuinely win it. Home advantage could be crucial but also the refs will have a big bearing on things as the northern and southern hemisphere refs have slightly dif interpretations of some of the rules much like european football refs maybe whistle happy whilst british refs may let certain tackles go unpunished...

Thats a tad harsh Rackem. We've got loads of World Champions. Just not in footy, rugby or cricket!

A win is a win. Could've been tougher, but they lacked discipline in the first half. Put that down to nerves.

    It'll get tougher.

Not much of a rugby fan but I do know that Fiji are no pushovers and a fair few make up the NZ squad. They could upset the outcome of this group.

Looked ****e last night but the important thing is getting the win. Had a very good last 10 minutes to make sure of the bonus points.

We'll come across much harder opposition than Fiji who I thought looked pretty poo by their standards.

Our forwards need to improve in the scrum, lineout and breakdown play or we're ****ed early.
