Looked great on Youtube. But then so did Steve De Ridder [sorry Steve]. I defy anyone to say he doesn't look good in every bit of his involvement here:
Me FT - I plead guilty to the charge of stating I thought at 5'9'' he was a bit small as a DM for us. Still do by the way! 'Let loose the hounds of war' for saying so! Bit of William Shakespeare of late on our site!
Must admit, I'm waiting for the growth spurt. Then again, shortness didn't hamper Mr Scholes. Perhaps he was wearing heels. Wooden ones.
Not a fool (sometimes maybe) - but two seasons ago, I watched Morgan totally dominate Gerrard at St Marys (3-1) from an early corner where Morgan went for the near post (Chapel End), saw the corner was going to the far post - darted backwards and flicked an otherwise free header away Gerrard that set the tone for that game. His ability to cover so much ground, with his intelligence first, (ability to read the game) and stamp his authority as Patrick Vieira did for the Gunners many seasons before, as does Matic does for Chelsea now - physical presence, as well as intellect means so much in the modern game.
That is true, but the there's always the counter of the best midfield in the world in that Barca side who were all knee high to a grass hopper. I'd also give you the best ever CDM...... Drum roll drum roll drum roll Claude Makelle
(smiles) why is this thread still going FLT?? Totally agree with you on Claude Makelle - awesome player - why Real Madrid let him go to Chelsea?? Rather like Messi - a small player also but what a talent for a striker - I agree there are exceptional exceptions to the general rule - we can discuss this all night!! (thanks for the great chat!).
On SSN Transfer Centre (apols if elsewhere) SAINTS AGREE DEAL FOR GUEYE - REPORT Southampton reportedly have deal in place to sign Lille midfielder Idrissa Gueye, according to France Football. Reports suggest Arsenal and Marseille are both interested in the 25-year-old but France Football claim Southampton have a £7m deal in place and will announce it once Morgan Schneiderlin departs.
I am sorry have we made a decision yet? Is this sort of thread acceptable? Don't we all know the exclamation mark rule?
Never come up with a chant before and no idea how to pronounce his name, but... Gueye, Gueye, Gueye... Idrissa (why? why? why? Delilah) * gets coat...
Isn't that Stoke City's song and why would we want to chant something that other clubs sing. As we are going on a European tour, how about starting chants in French, Spanish, German, Dutch, Italian and Croatian?
