It's a position we have struggled to develop over the years and clearly one that is being focused on. And it works. Remember when we struggled (pre Bridge) to secure any sort of left back from the youth set up. Since they focused on that area we have had Bale, Shaw, Targett and McQueen develop in that role. Not a bad production line at all.
I threshing line-up for the under 23's this evening. A back four of Valery, Martina, Gardos and McQueen. I remember when we bought Martina it was as a utility man that can play across the back four. Perhaps Puel is seeing if he is any good at CB. Judging from his positional sense and understand of the game when he has played at RB I can't see him ever being good enough at CB.
Saints only seem to screen home games...apart from teams like Man Utd/Liverpool who have their own TV stations, the other teams don't seem to provide that service. It's a shame, especially on a wet Monday night
Knows where the goal is. I reckon he would have a chance if we were left in any cup competitions that didn't involve a Wembley final! Might be a bit too late for him this season though.
Yes if we weren't in a final and in desperate need of points they might take a chance on him. Maybe when we are 4-0 up against United they'll bring him on.

Were it not for injuries, he'd have surely made his mark. I hope he gets a trouble free year so we can see if its going to happen.
