Wonder how much we have offered him? Been in talks ages.

 

I'd like to keep Vic as we need stability. I would question whether he is good enough to get the big moves everyone talks about...depends how confident he and his agent feel. I will always take news like this with a piece of salt...not every player or manager is as honourable as we are. Had our fingers burnt before where we've believed what people say whilst they plot behind our backs. Great if he stays, but he isn't essential for us.

 

Reminds me of the clug being confident of clyne and a new deal. Fingers crossed tho

I do remember something similar being suggested with Clyne. The slight difference here is that Clyne was clearly one of the best right backs in the league. Personally I don't think Victor currently has the all round game to attract the interest of the top clubs in this country and with Spurs now finding a successful partnership with Dier & Dembele, I don't think they'll be many takers in English football.

It's a cynical view, but if he does signs, it would be lack of other opportunities compared to a great desire to stay.

Is it right that Mane's contract is up at the end of next season? News to me. I thought he had at least one more year than that.

Ordinarily I would have just dismissed it as a piece of poor/lazy journalism, but given that Wilson is generally on the money when it comes to us, I decided to question myself instead.

 

Feet need to be kept on the ground with this one.
