Yeah Dutch press saying the same (I put it in the transfer thread). So what does every one think gone or not?

I understand why they are doing this and suspect Cork wants more game time that Ronald can't offer with any guarantees.

If this happens, we must be confident of tying up a deal for the Dutch lad.

I think, if Jack was going to sign he would have by now. We can't offer those assurances to him, so he'll move on.

If we can get Vilhena now for £4m, do it. Then sell Cork to reclaim some of that, and tidy the wage bill up a bit.

We then replace a player who is set to turn 26 soon with a player that has just turned 20 and rated as a top Dutch talent.

Go for it. I like Cork, but he's not irreplaceable and we can't be held to ransom either.

Is he a good player? I've never seen him play.

Think Jack is gone, but still hoping he will sign a new deal. Would be a real shame to go after the performance on Saturday.

Got more skill, faster and can basically play all over the midfield and wide areas. Obvious will have to make the step up to the english game. But I for one would be excited if he came here. Cork has been good for us but if he wants to go let him.

It would tarnish it a bit.

Think Jack would be a wonderful player for a huge number of clubs in the PL, and it would be a shame to lose him. Can see Pulis going in for him at WBA or Palace again.

Linked with lots of Feyernoord players for January/Summer, what's going to happen when Koeman leaves in a few seasons? Hopefully he gets the Holland job!

Jack's an OK player, but he's not key to good performances from Saints and is replaceable (easily and cheaply) so if he doesn't sign a new contract, I won't mourn his leaving. He's had good games, and he always puts in a shift, but I don't think he's special enough to worry about whether he stays or goes. It might sound harsh, but it seems that every manager he's played under at Saints has only considered him a squad player at best

It's a complete no brainer which player I'd rather have. Cork's a good player but that's all he's going to be. Vilhena has a much brighter future than Cork. If we can get him for £4mill, the worst case scenario for us would be to sell him a few years down the line for a big profit.

If you look at as well we have loads of defensive minded midfielders. Schneiderlin, Wanyama, Reed, Gape and Prowse can play there.

Sadly I think he will react against being forced into a decision ( or his stroppy Dad will) and we will see him go to a lesser club where he can earn more and get more game time.
If he does I will wish him well as he has been a good servant to the club and respect his desire to play more football

We can't actually force Jack to go. Unless he has a move he fancies, he'd do better to hold out for a free. Now we could have told him that his new contract will be withdrawn after 48 hours, but we can't force a move.

You can say you won't get played and will train with the youngsters tho. Do you really think Cork won't know who wants him or not? No top 8 team (maybe 10) will want him anyways.
