I want to say something very sarcastic, with an evil black edge but incredibly witty but I can't think of anything so I'm going to cook some pork chops with roast potatoes and lashings of gravy!

I can't understand the appeal of cooking all meats with gravy. It is ok but not the best solution. Have you tried cooking pork in a honey sauce? Whenever I go to Lyon, there is a restaurant that I go to that serves this and it is the only way to eat pork. When you put your fork in the pork, it just falls away it is so well cooked. I cooked some pork in a pomengrante and quince sauce over Christmas and that wasn't bad either.

That's a good dish Ian, but not the only way to eat pork. Try coating in Chinese spices and slow cooking for several hours. That's another way and the meat also falls away when you put the fork in :)

You can also add a thick have called Char Siu sauce that'll give you that honey like taste too.

The cut I prefer is belly pork though and my favourite way to eat that is with Jerk seasoning, cooked in the charcoals of a fire/BBQ in a metal box for a few hours. Melts in your mouth.

Well think about it. Transfer rumours = cooking

    • You see something that looks/sounds good
    • You investigate the costs of getting the things you need
    • You go to buy them
    • The shop doesn't always have exactly what you need
    • You buy an alternative that is slightly cheaper but looks like it'll do the same thing
    • You start putting the new ingredient into the mix with your existing ingredients
    • Looks good
    • Saved money
    • Tweak the recipe a little from the book
    • Start the cooking
    • 90 minutes later the result rarely looks as good as it did on paper and although not a total disaster you are left with a feeling that it isn't quite what it should be.
    • Start telling your guests that it's not quite how you expected it to turn out but then convince them that actually this is a better version anyway.

Cooking is the new transfers. No difference.

Mistake CBK. I just think you're better at comic effect than dramatic effect. Stick to comedy and leave the drama to the youngsters.

It's at this time of the year that I really regret we have no emojis of praying hands in the list...would get a lot of use in a transfer window.
